Same loop as a real machine: ① teach on a clean image → ② search in a degraded "afternoon" image → ③ score map (redder = more similar)
① Teach station (clean image = "morning")
Drag a box around the dot mark → release to save the template (boxing blank area is rejected)
Camera field width mm
② Search station (degraded image = "afternoon sheet")
Orange box = probe (the position being scored) · green box = best score in the whole map
Step
cells
Move the probe with ←↑↓→ or click the image; "Score whole map" instantly fills the heat map in ③
③ Data station (score map + row/column)
Redder = more similar · top-3 dots sit at the top-left cell of their template box
Probe -- Best --
The numbers under the probe (what the image really is):
④ What you are looking at
What this simulates
This is exactly what your press camera does: a template (a small block of numbers, saved at teach time) is compared against the new image position by position. The highest score = where the mark is now.
Suggested play
In ①, drag a box around the dot (or load your own photo first)
In ②, walk the probe with arrow keys and watch the score change
Click "Score whole map" and study the heat map and the three dots in ③
Crank "Ambient light" up = the afternoon sun arrives; score again and compare
Drop "Contrast" = dark mesh without white backing; score again
The three colored dots
1st place (where the machine believes the mark is)
2nd 3rd
1st far ahead = healthy. Top three bunched together = the machine is hesitating, close to an error.
Live interpretation
Nothing taught yet. Drag a box around the dark dot in ①.
